Novalea Faith Barnes was born on July 25, 2019 at 11:21 a.m. at Sutter Amador Hospital in Jackson, weighing 7 pounds and 11 ounces and measuring in at 19 inches in length to parents Ciera and Travis Barnes, of Angels Camp. Two local students achieved honor roll at Oregon State University for the Spring 2019 term. Brett A. Case, of Pioneer, a senior majoring in Computer Science and Sarah A. Kirkman, of San Andreas, a senior majoring in Environmental Engineering, both made the Scholastic Honor Roll for the term, achieving 3.5 grade point averages or better. Of its 31,000 students across two campuses in Corvallis and Bend, just over 5,600 Oregon State students achieved a 3.5 GPA or better for the spring term.
