The Chew Kee Museum in Fiddletown is unique in California. It contains original objects and furnishings from the Chinese herb doctor, merchant, and carpenter who lived and worked in the herb store from 1855-1965. Join a team of docents to share the stories of the store’s Chinese residents and how they lived during and after the Gold Rush. The museum is open on Saturdays, noon to 4 p.m. during April to October. Docent training is provided along with a choice of dates to staff the museum. Please call Judi at (209) 245-6489 for more information.
