Stockton, Calif. – The Stockton Heat, proud AHL affiliate of the NHL’s Calgary Flames, announced today the promotional schedule for the 2017-18 season including themed events, giveaways, specialty jerseys, meal deals and more.
“We’re excited about the range and depth of our in-game promotional schedule for the upcoming season,” Heat CEO Brian Petrovek said. “Traditional favorites return, with memories created over the years, sparked with fresh, new energy and value sprinkled throughout the season for fans of all ages to enhance the fan experience and create new memories. We’re all fired up for Stockton Heat Hockey, version ’17-18’.”
Some of the exciting new promotions on the schedule this season include a Safe Trick-or-Treating Nighton Saturday, October 21 where kids can dress up in costume and go trick-or-treating after the game ends,Hispanic Heritage Night where we celebrate Hispanic culture, Kid’s New Year’s & Fireworks on Sunday, December 31 which will feature a fireworks display after the game, Diabetes Awareness Night presented by Jackson Rancheria on Sunday, February 25 where we raise awareness and money for those impacted by diabetes, Pucks and Paws Night on Sunday, March 11 where fans are invited to bring their dogs and cats to the game, Stockton Ports Baseball Night on Friday, April 6 where we get fired up for baseball season and much more!
Fans can expect some cool new giveaways like Stadium Cups on Saturday, October 6, Kids Masks on Friday, November 17, Foam Cowboy Hats on Saturday, January 6, Sunglasses on Saturday, February 17,Clear Drawstring Bags on Saturday, March 17 and three new Bobbleheads to add to the collection featuring Heat forwards Mark Jankowski presented by Central State Credit Union on Saturday, December 9, Ryan Lomberg on Saturday, January 13 and Andrew Mangiapane presented by Jackson Rancheria on Sunday, February 25!
The Heat will be wearing five specialty jerseys during the 2017-18 season including a Port Proud/Stockton Proud jersey on Opening Night, Calgary Flames white jerseys the following night on October 7, lavender themed jerseys for Stockton Heat Hockey Fights Cancer on November 4, camouflage jerseys for Military Appreciation Night on Saturday, January 13 and a Stockton Ports themed jersey for Stockton Ports Baseball Night on Friday, April 6. Jerseys will be auctioned off after the games with proceeds being donated to various charities in the area.
Fans can also expect to see some classic giveaway items return like Adult and Youth Replica Jersey Nights, which take place on Saturday, November 4 and Friday, April 6 where the first 500 kids and 1000 adults will take home a Stockton Heat Fights Cancer replica jersey in November and a Stockton Heat baseball jersey courtesy of ABC10 in April. Mixing new with the classic on Opening Night with the first 2,500 inside Stockton Arena receiving a Magnetic Schedule and our first ever Stockton Heat Stadium Cup, which can be used to purchase soda refills inside Stockton Arena for $3 all season long! The cup can also be purchased at all Stockton Arena events for $7 during the 2017-18 season!
Announced earlier this summer are the Heat’s marquee events including Port Proud/Stockton Proud Opening Weekend on Friday and Saturday, October 6 and 7 presented by the Port of Stockton and McDonald’s along with Night of Champions on Saturday, October 14, Stockton Heat Hockey Fights Cancer presented by Dignity Health St. Joseph’s Medical Center on Saturday, November 4, Teddy Bear Toss on Saturday, January 20, Safety Night on Saturday, February 17, Star Wars Night on Saturday, March 3 and Stockton Heat Hockey Goes Green presented by Covanta on Saturday, March 17.

Kids can get into Friday Heat home games for FREE courtesy of Golden State Restaurant Group McDonald's! Fans who eat at a participating McDonald’s location can bring their receipt to the Stockton Arena Ticket Office and with a purchase of one adult ticket, can get one ticket for their child (12-years-old and younger) free! You can also expect to see Ronald McDonald at the Heat’s Opening Night game on Friday, October 6!
Saturday’s are Hockey Night in Stockton and are perfect for adults thanks to Budweiser! All Saturday home games this year will feature the Bud and Burger deal where fans 21-years and over can purchase a Budweiser and a Burger for just $15! In addition, we’ll host pregame parties on Saturday’s around Ring Road featuring live music, games, a Kid’s Zone, food and drinks from 4:00 p.m. until puck drop at 6:00 p.m.!
Every Friday and Saturday night that the Heat are home, we’ll open up the new Breakaway Café located on the Fan Deck and open to anyone inside Stockton Arena! The Breakaway Cafe features local restaurants serving specialty dishes, a brewhaus with rotating craft beer taps, high-top tables and chairs and more for an unprecedented social experience for Heat Hockey fans!
Our Sunday home games this season are all about the numbers one, two, three and four! All fans will be able to purchase hot dogs for $1, sodas for $2 and Rita’s Italian Ice for $3 and can purchase an In-Shape Health Club 4 Pack of tickets starting at just $40 (with savings up to $24)!
There will also be a special meal deals on Wednesday night home games as well where fans can purchase $.50 wings and $4 bottomless popcorn!
This year you’ll also see your favorite radio and television stations out at Stockton Arena for Stockton Heat games! On select dates, the KWIN Bomb Squad Deejays will be spinning live music during the hockey games. Fans will also see a larger presence from some of your favorite local television stations as ABC10, FOX40 and MY58 will have their teams and on-air talent out to select Heat games this season!
A returning element that began during the 2017 Calder Cup Playoffs is our Spirit Station, which will be located in the concourse. There, fans will be able to create signs, pick up Stockton Heat temporary tattoos and on select nights, enjoy face painting and balloon animals!
The public will also have greater access to the players than ever before with three autograph sessionsafter the games on Saturday, October 21, Saturday, November 18 and Saturday, December 9 in the North Concourse. Fans will also have a chance to skate with some of their favorite players during our Skate with the Team on Sunday, March 11.
For the first time since the early days of Stockton Hockey, we’ve got our mascot a set of wheels! Frankie the Firebird will be cruising around the ice in his new ATV courtesy of Honda Kawasaki KTM of Modesto!
