Pacific Gas and Electric had restored power to approximately 328,255 customers since the October 29 Public Safety Power Shutoff and 36,745 total remain out of power as of 10:00 p.m. Wednesday night. The utility restored 100 of Alameda, Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, Contra Costa, Fresno, Glenn, Humboldt, Lake, Madera, Mariposa, Mendocino, Monterey, San Benito, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Siskiyou, Solano, Stanislaus, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne and Yolo counties.
PG&E will continue working to restore power in Calaveras and others still affected. Northern Kern County had a partial “all clear” Wednesday, October 30 and expects to issue a full “all clear” on Thursday, October 31. The power giant will continue to operate Community Resource Centers from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. until power has been restored in the remaining areas. So far, PG&E has found 143 incidents of damage and expects more by the end of the restoration efforts.
