On September 9th, 2021 CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers made two separate fire related arrests in Amador County. 

CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers in cooperation with the Amador County Sheriff’s Office arrested an adult male for recklessly starting a fire in the area of Highway 88 and Dalton Road.

Zachary Michael Hensley

The adult male has been identified as Zachary Michael Hensley, 28-years-old, arrested on Thursday, September 9, 2021, at 6:15 p.m. Charges for Hensley include: 1 count of 452(C) PC- Cause Fire Of Struc/Fores [Felony] Bail: $20000, Total Bail: $20000. As of 3:28 p.m., Friday, September 10, Hensley remains listed as in custody in the Amador County Jail. 

The same evening, CAL FIRE Law Enforcement Officers in cooperation with the Amador Fire Protection District arrested an adult female on suspicion of a series of arson fires in the community of Plymouth.

Debra Lynn Smith

The adult female has been identified as Debra Lynn Smith, 60-years-old, arrested Thursday, September 9, 2021 at 11:26 p.m. Charges for Smith include: 1 count of 451(C) PC- Arson:Forest Land [Felony] Bail: $75000, Total Bail: $75000. As of 3:28 p.m., Friday, September 10 Hensley remains listed as in custody in the Amador County Jail. 

These fire related arrests are separate and not connected to the Caldor Fire.
