Fire units were dispatched to a First alarm residential structure fire on Saturday, February 8, 2020, at 11:43 a.m. in the 200 block of Stoneybrook Drive in the City of Ione. 

The first arriving engine found heavy fire showing from the front living room area and kitchen on a single story single family dwelling. The first arriving crews did an aggressive fire attack and were able to quickly knock down the fire and contain it to two room with extensive smoke damage to the rest of the home.

Additional units were continued in and assisted with extensive mop up and overhaul of the house. A total of 14 fire units and 25 fire personnel responded to the incident.

There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is not suspicious but is under investigation. Damages are estimated at $200,000. 

Units from the City of Ione Fire, Jackson Valley Fire, Mule Creek Fire, Sutter Creek Fire, Amador Fire Rancheria and Plymouth Batt 20, Buena Vista Casino Fire, Ione PD, American Legion ambulance responded to the incident.
