The following is a partial listing of calls received by Amador County Sheriff’s Office dispatchers on the dates and times indicated. Calaveras call logs are published Tuesdays, and Amador call logs are published on Fridays. 

Wednesday, October 3

9:10 a.m. Welfare Check, on New York Ranch Road, Jackson; Caller states that an 80-year-old man is trying to get to Lodi on foot. Tribal security tried speaking to him, but there was a language barrier.

9:43 a.m. Welfare Check, at Amador City Public Restrooms on Highway 49, Amador City; Caller states that an older white male appears to be sleeping on the shoulder of the highway.

1:19 p.m. Suspicious Person, on Highway 49 at Detert Park, Jackson; A white male is possibly under the influence and keeps walking into traffic.

1:26 p.m. Suspicious Person, at Safeway Fuel Station on Industry Boulevard, Martell; Caller states that a 60-year-old male came in and was harassing customers.

2:33 p.m. Suspicious Person, at Starbucks on Old Mill Lane, Martell; A 30-year-old white male turned in a set of keys to the caller. The caller was then notified by a woman who witnessed the subject trying to open several vehicles in the parking lot with the keys prior to turning them in.

5:08 p.m. Suspicious Person and Vehicle, on Sugar Loaf Road, Jackson; The caller states that a Hispanic male in his 40’s with long, brown hair pulled out of the caller’s driveway and followed the her from her residence to Las Minas Mexican restaurant; resulted in a felony arrest.

8:56 p.m. Theft of Property, at Dollar General on Ridge Road, Pine Grove; Caller states that she gave a white male a ride to the store when the subject grabbed the caller’s wallet and exited the vehicle.

9:19 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances, on Ridge Road, Pine Grove; Caller has a video of a male subject going through her neighbor’s mailbox. The subject was also carrying a grocery bag and a large trash bag.

Thursday, October 4

10:45 a.m. Suspicious Person, at Petkovitch Park, Jackson; A white male in a black hat, black pants and a red shirt was in the park yelling at people who passed by.

12:10 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances, at Pioneer Public Storage on Highway 88, Pioneer; Caller states that he received another threatening phone call from a subject saying “pow, pow.” Caller states this is the second occurrence and he does not know who is calling.

1:24 p.m. Welfare Check, at Jackson Creek Veterinary Clinic on Trade Center Drive, Martell; Caller states a 60-year-old white male in a red sweater with a German Shepherd was laying down on the side of the road.

2:06 p.m. Public Intoxication, at Speedy Oil Change & Tune Up on Jackson Gate Road, Martell; A 70-year-old white male has been drinking while waiting for his car.

5:19 p.m. Be on the Lookout, on Highway 124 at Highway 16, Ione; A subject in a vehicle was passing on the shoulder and was swerving all over the roadway. Resulted in a felony arrest.

10:28 p.m. Theft of Property, at Carl’s Jr. on Prospect Drive, Martell; Caller was on a break and saw a male subject in his 30’s walk up to the gated area and then walk to the front door and break it, but did not take anything.

Friday, October 5

9:18 a.m. Vandalism, on Red Oak Drive, Jackson Valley; The caller is having a vacant unit fixed up and when workers showed up they found trash on the property and obscenities spray painted on the building.

11:48 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances, at Holiday Inn Express on Clinton Road, Jackson; Possible credit card fraud, resulted on misdemeanor arrest.

12:27 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances, on Highway 104, Ione; Caller states that she received a text message that said “We know who you are. We are coming for you. You will pay for what you did.”

4:22 p.m. Theft of Property, at Safeway on Industry Boulevard, Martell; Caller states that she has items taken from her unlocked Jeep.

Saturday, October 6

12:24 a.m. Burglary, on Main Street, Jackson; A male subject in a flannel shirt tried breaking into the caller’s truck. The caller then followed him to Court Street; resulted in a misdemeanor arrest.

8:16 a.m. Suspicious Vehicle, at Lowe’s on Industry Boulevard, Martell; Caller advised that a car has been in the parking lot since last night with the ignition punched out and the windows rolled down. Per caller, there were some “interesting” people in the area.

12:12 p.m. Suspicious Person, at Tan Yer Hide Tanning Salon on Industry Boulevard, Martell; A white male subject with gray hair and a muscular build was at the tanning salon and was asking the caller how old she was, as well as making other inappropriate comments. The subject told the caller he would give her $100 if she rubbed his head with the “Playboy Lotion.” The subject then left the business in no shirt.

5:51 p.m. Theft of Property, at McDonald’s on Trade Center Drive, Martell; Caller states that he left his phone and sunglasses on the table and when he returned they were gone.

7:57 p.m. Suspicious Person and Vehicle, at Las Minas Mexican Restaurant on Highway 88, Pine Grove; Caller advised that two older white male subjects have been sitting in their vehicle parked in front of the business for several hours. Per caller, they said their vehicle broke down but caller advised that they are creeping her out.

9:48 p.m. Trespassing, on Meadowood Drive, Jackson; Ongoing issue of three subjects hiding out on the lower part of the property with flashlights.

Sunday, October 7

11:57 a.m. Welfare Check, at Mt. Zion Lookout on Mt. Zion Road, Pine Grove; Caller states that she can hear a male voice yelling for help.

2:23 p.m. Suspicious Person, at Safeway on Industry Boulevards, Martell; An older white male was inside the store and followed a woman into the women’s restroom. The subject then left the bathroom, ran out of the store and was asking people in the parking lot if they would hide him. The subject then ran behind the store into the field near Petco.

3:27 p.m. Suspicious Person, at Dollar General on Ridge Road, Pine Grove; Caller states that a black male is currently outside the building and has been asked to leave multiple times on multiple days.

4:39 p.m. Suspicious Person, on Highway 49, Jackson; A white male in a jacket and shorts was carrying a big stick and a large knife on him.

8:05 p.m. Trespassing, on Meadowood Drive, Jackson; Two subject with flashlights are on the property heading towards the caller’s shed.

10:30 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, at Wal-Mart on Wicklow Way, Martell; One male and one female were yelling at each other. Per caller, the male subject is intoxicated and is attempting to leave. Resulted in a felony arrest.

Monday, October 8

1:10 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances, on Kit Carson Road, Silver Lake; Caller states that new luggage, a backpack and other belongings were scattered along the road. Caller took a laptop bag with a laptop in it and did not see any people or vehicles around.

9:04 a.m. Suspicious Circumstances, on Murphy Road, Pine Grove; Caller received a call from a tow company that found the caller’s mail in a recovered vehicle. Caller is concerned that someone stole her mail.

10:19 a.m. Suspicious Person and vehicle, on Acorn Court, Pine Grove; A white male in a small, red car was walking on other people’s properties and it seemed strange to the caller.

11:19 a.m. Suspicious Person and Vehicle, at Mother Lode Music on Prospect Drive, Martell; A white male is yelling inside his vehicle and throwing things around.

8:16 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, in Jackson Valley; A friend stayed with the caller last night and the husband of the friend showed up banging on the door and being verbal with both of them.

8:50 p.m. Suspicious Person, at Perko’s Café on Highway 88, Martell; Caller states that an older male subject is staying behind the restaurant by a dumpster and is possibly under the influence of drugs.

Tuesday, October 9

8:19 a.m. Log Information, on Highway 88 at Burger King, Martell; A white male in his 50’s wearing a red shirt was smacking his buttocks, lifting his shirt and distracting drivers.

8:33 a.m. Suspicious Person and Vehicle, on Tabeaud Road, Pine Grove; Caller drove by a red hatchback with Arizona plates and a male subject was inside covering his face with his hoodie.

3:49 p.m. Suspicious Circumstances, on Manor Drive, Ione; Caller received threatening Facebook messages saying “I know where you live.”

4:46 p.m. Extra Patrol, at Rory’s Towing & Repair on Main Street, Plymouth; Ongoing issue of a subject stealing gas between 2 a.m. and 4 a.m. The subject parks up by the primary school and walks onto the property.

9 p.m. Disturbing the Peace, at Meadow Pines Estates Mobile Home Park on Carson Drive, Pioneer; Caller states that a subject is driving around very fast and revving their engine.
