AT&T added two new cell towers to its 4G LTE network in Amador County in the hopes of providing customers with faster, more reliable wireless service. By adding these towers, AT&T is also bringing Fixed Wireless Internet to residents and small business in parts of Amador County.

 The new towers are located near Fiddletown and the Pardee Lake Recreation Area.

 “We continue to invest in rural California to ensure our customers have access to wireless connectivity and high-speed home internet service,” said Alice Perez, director of External Affairs for AT&T California. “For communities to remain economically vital, it is essential that they have a reliable, high speed and high-quality internet connection. Investment in broadband technologies will create more educational, cultural, and economic opportunities for California’s rural communities. Mobile communications are also critical tool for first responders in emergency situations, and is fast proving to be an effective and efficient means of reaching and informing the public when a disaster strikes.”

With 4G LTE service, AT&T says customers will experience better network connectivity while streaming videos, sharing on social media or texting family and friends.
