Bud Busch, a retired educator and coach, passed away in Nashville, Tennessee on August 25, 2021. Bud was born to Adolph H. Busch and Helen Cooke Busch in Decatur, Illinois September 29, 1938.
Bud taught high school and junior high school during his career, spending most of his years in Amador County schools. The last years at Jackson Junior High School, he coached various sports at both levels, but his true love was softball and basketball. Bud officiated high school football in the greater Sacramento region for 30 years. An avid jogger and bicyclist, he was seen on the roads and streets by many. Bud was an active member of Trinity Episcopal Church.
Bud was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Marilyn. He is survived by his wife of 26 years Linda; son Steve (Heidi) Busch; daughters Terri (Ernie) Lopez, Andrea King, Amanda Busch; and stepson Aaron (Emily) Ward. He leaves behind four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two step-granddaughters.
There will be no service per his family’s request. A private celebration of life will be held at a later date.
