Casey passed away May 24, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Folsom, CA attended by her three daughters, two granddaughters and several loved ones. She was 85 years old.

Casey was born Darlene Delight Tripp near Jackson, CA to her parents Lorena (Blackwell) and Walt Tripp Sr. Except for a brief period spent in Alameda, CA as a child, she lived her life in El Dora do. She attended high school in Placerville at El Dorado High. As a child her older brother had teased her about looking like a local lady “Casey Pavey” and the nickname stuck. She was always Casey.

At an early age she married Allard Gustafson and had one son, Craig. At a  still early age (19) she met and married Martin Urjevich  of Amador  County and together they had six children. She raised her seven kids and one grandson in the home she built with Martin, on land gifted to them by her parents, and she remained there until the time of her death.

Casey was a stay at home mom except when she was working outside the home. She held jobs in a variety of fields; she worked in the fruit, both picking and packing at the “fruit house”-PlacervilIe Fruit Growers Association; in the 1970’s she was owner/operator of the bar at The Plymouth Hotel, Plymouth California; she worked for El Dorado County Senior Services providing in-home support  for  the  elderly.  She  was especially well suited and good at caring  for  her  “old  friends”,  so  much  so that when she finally decided to retire her supervisor begged her to stay.

Casey was preceded in death by her parents Walt Tripp, Sr. and Loren a Tripp; her brothers Richard Tripp and Walt Tripp Jr.; her sons Craig Gustafson and Peter Urjevich.

She is survived by her children: Mickey Waters (Bill), Catherine Colburn (Monte), Marty Urjevich, Matt Urjevich, and Lisa Urjevich; 15 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She leaves behind her sisters Ramona Tripp- Verbeck and Melody Vonglahn; former husband Martin Urjevich and his lovely daughter Jennifer; close friend Eleanor Wicklund; nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
