On October 14, 2019 long-time Amador County resident, Deborah Sue Hunt, passed away in the comfort of her home surrounded by her loving family at the age of 66.
Most people knew Deborah as fun-loving Debbie, who was born in Oceanside, California. Debbie was the daughter of the late Maxine and Loren Galino, also long-time Amador County residents of Sutter Creek. Debbie graduated from Amador High School and settled in her long-time home in Jackson with her surviving husband Tom where they raised six wonderful children and owned Hunt Drilling Company. Debbie was always the life of any party. She lived life with a smile on her face and appreciated life to the fullest. Debbie loved good wine, fun loving holiday parties, the great outdoors, fishing, hiking and anything to do with animals. Debbie was a dog lover filled with compassion and love. In the winter she was known for snowmobiling at Bear River and in the summer shredding water at Lake Camanche on water skis.
Debbie leaves behind her caring husband, Tom; and loving family to include her sons, Mike (Michelle) and Jeff (Angie) Clark, Todd (Regina) and Tommy (Wendy) Hunt; daughter, Jenny Hunt; grandchildren, Reese Clark, Rylee Clark, Connor Clark, Caden Clark, Kinsley Clark, Greyson Hunt, Clayton Hunt, and Joelle Hunt; sister, Connie Kuppenbender; mother-in-law, Georgiana Hunt; close family friend, Adam Stone; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Debbie will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother.
A memorial is scheduled at Daneri Mortuary in Jackson, Friday, November 1st, 2019 at 11:00 A.M., and graveside services will be privately held at Sutter Creek Catholic Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer contributions in Debbie’s name to the PSP Foundation, 1216 Broadway, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001.
