Randy L. Bittner, 69, of Volcano, CA, passed away on July 22, 2021.
He was born in Sigourney, Iowa on October 2, 1951. Randy Graduated from Sequoia High School in Redwood City in 1969. He was married to Patricia L. Bittner for 50 years.
During his journey, Randy ran a family restaurant called the Brass Lantern for 15 years. Following that endeavor, he worked at Argonaut High School as a groundskeeper for 25 years. In addition to his primary employment, Randy also was the voice of Mustangs football for many years during home games. He was also the beloved coach of many of his children’s sports teams – teams like the Boatworks coach-pitch team, the Gold Strikers fastpitch softball team, and most recently the Argonaut JV softball team for many years. He was always active in his children’s lives and activities, whether it was sports, Boy Scouts, or Girl Scouts. In his younger years, he maintained his competitive spirit by playing slowpitch softball and weekly bowling leagues with friends.
He is survived by children Scott, Tiffany (Jon), Brian (Miranda); grandchildren Justin, Gideon, Averi, Ulric and Amari; siblings Fred (Kim), Jane; and 28 nephews and nieces.
