Richard Oneto was born October 18, 1944 to Ellie and Steve Oneto. Raised in Jackson, graduating from Jackson High School in 1963. After high school, Richard worked with his dad as a cement mason. He then met Linda Chapin and married in 1972. In 1974 they had a daughter and remained in Amador County. Richard later went to work in the lumber industry as a truck driver.
Richard enjoyed life, being social and having a good time. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and a good party. He was always active; from his daily routine to the coffee shop to meet the guys, to the gas station to catch up on the local news, to his daily runs to the casino to play his favorite keno machines. He made friends every place he went, he always had a smile on his face and a joke to be told. Richard was always there to lend a hand to anyone, any time. From his crazy adventures with his daughter, to hanging with family and friends, he was right there, no matter what.
Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Oneto. His daughter and son-in-law Laura and Roc Craig. His grand-daughter Sammantha Craig and soon to arrive great grand-daughter. His sister-in-law Carrol and her husband Arthur Vicini, a niece Kelly and her husband David Gunderman, a nephew Danny and his wife Ana Vicini. Two great nieces, Grace Gunderman and Danica Vicini. Also, Michelle, her husband Zak and son Tommy Mansor. He is also survived by a brother and his family. Richard was proceeded in death by is father, Steve Oneto, mother and step father Ellie & Wally Milhous.
