Roger Dale Warren, of Jackson, CA, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family and friends on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at the age of 58. He was born in Glendale, CA on June 7, 1961 to the late Verna F. and Carl W. Warren.
Roger lived in Amador County his whole life. He worked at Roosters Bar & Grill and lived in Mt Aukum before moving to Jackson to start cancer treatment.
Roger had a deep love for the surrounding areas such as Silver Lake, Plasse’s Resort, Lake Tahoe, Bear Reservoir, the drive up Highway 88, and the Amador Wine Country area where he lived. He enjoyed camping, hiking, fishing, and spending time with friends and family, and his dogs. He loved classic rock music, and listened to it right up until he passed. Roger loved to cook for other people it was his way of showing his love, he could cook a mean meal!
He loved his kids more than life and would want them to live their life to the fullest!
He will be remembered for his ability to make friends so easily. He didn’t like social media and believed it was more important to be face to face. Roger was also a great listener. If someone did his friends dirty he would be the first to stand up and defend them even if that meant taking a punch.
Roger’s philosophy of life can be found in this quote “The Love of Family and the Admiration of Friends is more important than wealth and privilege”.
Roger was rich with friends! We thank him for being such a cool friend, and an amazing father and teacher. We miss you and love you so much!
Roger is survived by his son, Jeremy Warren, of El Dorado Hills CA, his daughter: Kaitlyn Warren, of Volcano, CA ; Jeremy’s mother, Judy Klein, of El Dorado Hills, CA; sisters, Sheila (Don) Steele and Paula Frisby, both of Manteca, CA; brothers, Bill Warren, of Jackson, CA, Gary (Bunny) Warren, of Panama City, FL, Larry (Johanna) Warren, of Lynnwood, WA, and Steven (Connie) Warren, of Napa, CA.
