Victoria Ehrhardt passed away Friday, July 23, 2021, in Sacramento, CA at the age of 61 years old. She was born February 21, 1960, in Jackson, CA to her parents, Beauford Roots and Carol (Cuneo) Roots. Vicky grew up in Calaveras County attending school and participating in 4H, County Fair livestock shows, horse shows, service clubs and athletics. After graduation she opted to marry and start a family.
While raising a family of three kids, Vicky continued to work on her grandparent’s ranch where she had spent most of her weekends and summers. As the kids got older, she worked as a teacher's aide for a few years then, bought the "Jackson Cat House", a collectables shop in downtown Jackson. She successfully ran the store while spending time coaching basketball, baseball, and softball as the kids moved up through the recreational leagues and junior high. She was an active contributor and sponsor of youth and adult sporting teams as well as an avid player of softball and basketball. Vicky remained a generous supporter of 4H, junior livestock clubs and county fair her entire life. After the kids graduated and began raising their own families, Vicky turned her full attention back to her grandparent’s ranch and the grandkids! She developed the ranch into a premier Boer Goat show and breeding facility. The Ranch is well known nationally and is a prime source of many fair champions throughout the state.
