Although the idea of firefighters rescuing cats out of trees is pervasive, it happens very rarely in life. On Saturday, January 2, 2021, Jackson Fire Department had one of those rare chances. The reporting party stated that the cat, which is normally indoors, had been up in the tree for more than 24 hours. At first they thought that the cat would come down by itself but after more than 24 hours they decided to call in some help. In less than half an hour firefighters had the cat down from the tree and back to the owners.
