The Old Corner Saloon, located at 18783 Highway 88 in Clements, will join with the Central Valley Mens Club at Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve, 2951 Curran Road in Ione, on Saturday September 19 for the Old Corner Saloon’s Annual Charity Shootout.
Last year, $13,000 was raised for Victory Village Veterans Center in Jackson, to build on their programs assisting our Veterans.
“Victory Village is a great organization and we are so grateful to everyone that comes out to the Old Corner Saloon’s Charity Shoot Out, the barbecue and raffle to support Veterans,” said Todd Anderson, Owner of the Old Corner Saloon. “We are an all volunteer organization, we have a large number of folks that have donated raffle prizes, and we are hopeful that we will have a large group of shooters participating. I assure you funds raised will be used where they will help the most. We certainly appreciate Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve and all they have done to make this annual event a success. It will be a great day, supporting a great cause, and having fun, all while raising important awareness and needed funds for our Veterans.”
The Old Corner Saloon’s Annual Charity Shoot Out will take place on Saturday, September 19 at Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve, 2951 Curran Road in Ione, with registration starting at 8 a.m. and the tournament beginning at 9 a.m.
Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve is fully compliant with all COVID-19 requirements required by Amador County and the State of California, so there will be some minor changes this year, such as four shooters per station rather than five, as an example.
Walk-ons are welcome for registration, however early registration is easy. Visit theoldcornersaloon.com and download a registration form, or call Jennifer at (916) 715-6013, Joann at (209) 327-2731, or Debbie at (209) 481-1356 for more information.
The cost is $100 per shooter, which includes an amazing lunch, or $25 for the barbecue only — and yes, there is cobbler. While perusing raffle prizes and purchasing raffle tickets, this year’s venue features a great country band, and cocktails, beer and wine will be served after the tournament.
Speaking of raffle tickets, one major addition this year is a “Wall of Guns” raffle. For $20 you select a card from a deck, when all 52 are sold the one winner selects a gun from five choices — Ruger 1022 with scope, 12 gauge shotgun pump action camo, semi automatic pistol, snub nose revolver and savage axis or ruger bolt action rifle. Each gun has a retail value from $300 to $500. An additional gun raffle will be held for the Henry 410 Shotgun. Raffle tickets can be purchased the day of the shoot, or at the Old Corner Saloon.
Get ready for an amazing time, all for an amazing charity — Victory Village Veterans Center — as we come together at Camanche Hills Hunting Preserve for the Old Corner Saloon’s Annual Charity Shoot Out on Saturday, September 19, 2020.
