After more than a decade the Clements Buckaroos will partner with the California Cowboys Pro Rodeo Association to bring professional rodeo back to the small town!

The Clements Stampede rodeo began in 1942 when a small group of Buckaroo members held a purely, non-professional round-up drawing an estimated 1,500 people. The club went on to produce the annual Stampede for more than 60 years until rising production and ground maintenance costs halted the annual event. The Stampede brings the community together and welcomes spectators from near and far. In September, the best rodeo athletes in the state will showcase their talents in the quest for the coveted year-end championship in each of the eight events. The rodeo will feature bull riding, bareback riding, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, team roping, steer wrestling, breakaway roping and barrel racing.

These rodeo contestants come from all walks of life. They are teachers, salesmen, bank executives, students, ranchers, peace officers and more. Many can only rodeo on the weekends, but all have a love for the sport of rodeo!

Friday, September 20th and Saturday, September 21st 2019 the Clements Stampede will present the California Cowboys Pro Rodeo Association State Finals. Learn more by visiting
