Volcano Theatre Company has been very busy lately. With the reconstruction of their outdoor stage due to rotting sub-structure, to auditions for upcoming productions, to their Annual Awards Party coming up this month, there is just no rest for the dedicated!
Interested in becoming a part of a theatre family? Ever thought about being on stage, but didn’t know where to start? Don’t miss auditions for “On Golden Pond,” by Ernest Thompson and directed by Sue Haldane, at the Cobblestone Theatre on January 19 at 2 p.m. and January 20 at 7 p.m. “On Golden Pond” follows a retired couple who mends their relationship with their daughter by way of her fiancé’s young son while spending a summer at their cabin on Golden Pond. Needed are two men ages 30 and over and ages 60-85, two women ages 30 and over and ages 60-85, as well as one youth male age 13-16. All are welcome to audition and no experience is required. Every year, Volcano Theatre Company holds a very fun themed awards party. This year, the theme will be “Under the Sea” and will be held on Saturday, January 25 at the Armory Hall in Volcano. Gathering and visiting starts at 5 p.m., a potluck dinner starts at 6 p.m. and the awards and comedy starts at 7 p.m. Go support Volcano Theatre Company and bring your favorite potluck dish. There will be raffle tickets for purchase to win some great gifts. Costumes are always recommended for extra fun, so be creative!
