The Jackson Lions Club annual fireworks sale begins June 28 and will run through July 4th at the Little League field at Detert Park in Jackson.
“Safe and sane” fireworks are legal in California and allowed in the incorporated areas of Amador County.
The fireworks stand will be open on June 28 from Noon – 9 p.m., and June 29 – July 4 from 9 a.m. – 9 p.m. Social distancing measures will be in place for customers and Lions Club volunteers, with safe point-of-sale transactions in addition to local checks, cash and credit card sales.
The Lions Club’s community picnic and fireworks show has been cancelled due to COVID-19 gathering restrictions.
Donations to the Lions will be accepted and appreciated. With other fundraising events cancelled, the fireworks sale will likely be the Jackson Lions’ major fundraiser of the year. All proceeds from fireworks sales and donations will support the Jackson Lions scholarship funds and support to youth groups and many other local projects.
