Sutter Creek Lions Club may have been one of the few organizations that was able to hold their major fundraiser earlier this year.
Annually they budget $450 dollars to the Interfaith Food Bank for their Project Thanks in November. Due to the current stay-at-home order in the County, the Sutter Creek Lions Club Board voted to donate the $450 now to Interfaith’s food drive.
The check was delivered to Executive Director Beth Stanton on April 28. There is a 40 percent increase in recipients at this time. With the temporary closure of their thrift store, funds are especially needed.
Sutter Creek Lions Club is also participating in high school scholarships and will be presenting four $1,000 scholarships to four seniors. This $4,000 is another budgeted item they are able to fulfill.
Sutter Creek Lions Club is on track to continue with their community commitments for this year. If you know of a special community need, forward the information for club consideration. Email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
