Margaret Elizabeth Laporte Chambers born on SEPT. 19,1943 in Sutter Creek, CA. Delivered by midwife Betty Willey, to parents James and Leona (Mc Kay) Laporte. She was a lifelong resident of Amador County. Margie as she was fondly called went to Ione Elementary school, Jackson HS and graduated from Amador HS.
