LETTER

There haven’t been any intelligent or valid arguments against requiring vaccination for nearly all public and private locations, gatherings and events. The same people who were fake climatologists are now pretending to be Constitutional scholars and medical experts. Stop spreading your opinion as though it’s fact.

Consider the situation as it really is. With only 2 out of 3 Californians vaccinated, that means that the person on your left or the person on your right is still a potential carrier, or worse, in denial about their symptoms. A cough hangs in the air for many hours after the cougher has left the deli counter, post office, auto parts store, school, or auditorium.

The Spanish Flu of 1916 killed more than 26,000,000 people when the soldiers came home when we didn’t have the mobility that we have today, and there were less than one-fourth as many people on the planet. A normal day today is a super-spreader event, and herd immunity is not going to be created unless martial law limits crowds. Too many individuals don’t understand science or use common sense, or both, and may have to be forced to do the right thing.

Come on people, you have to do better. If you are not part of the solution, then you are the problem, and it’s way past time to “push back” against you.
