Pressure Canning

Join UCCE Master Food Preservers from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Saturday, November 19th for our next class “Pressure Canning Basics.” This is one of our most frequently-requested classes; learn how a pressure canner works and the multiple safety features included on every modern canner. Build your confidence in pressure canning by watching the entire process and comparing a variety of canner types. Learn when you need to use a pressure canner and why. Don’t risk a case of botulism because you didn’t practice safe canning. The class is being held at the Amador County GSA Building, 12200-B Airport Road in Jackson. To save a seat register at http://ucanr.edu/sites/mfp_of_csClasses-Events/ Cost of the class is $5. Walk-ins are welcome.
